Madison - Personalized Girl's Note Cards

I recently made this sweet little set of note cards for an equally sweet little girl in my son's Pre-School class, named Madison (of course). She was having a purple and green, Princess and the Frog birthday party, so I thought these would be perfect for any little girl. I plan on offering these in several different color options in my shop, any suggestions?

Each time my son gets invited to a birthday party, I make the kiddo a set of personalized note cards and gift stickers to match the theme of their party. In fact I'm finding this is a great source of inspiration for new designs!

if I were a font series...Daisy Mae

click on picture for full effect

It's no secret I am over the top, obsessed completely with fonts. In fact if my computer crashed I would be more devastated over losing my entire font collection before my design collection. Perhaps that's a sign I need some serious help??

As a new found way to express my creative side, I'm starting this new blog series. What do you think? I will be bringing you free fonts and ideas of how to use them whenever the creative streak hits. The designs I create for this series will not be offered in my shop, but if you love them and must have them, simply contact me.

First up is this simply sweet and delicate font called Daisy Mae. You may download it for free by clicking here. It is so girly with it's scribbled daisies and fine lines, looks best as the main design element. I also like the way Daisy Mae looks paired with Champagne & Limousines print. Delicate, like a baby made me instantly think of a baby girl announcement, but a girly birthday or baby shower would wear it well too. How fun would this font be if a florist used it entirely for their logo? Oh, the possibilities are endless.

If you find a great use for Daisy Mae, drop me a line.

Spring in the South

Like most of the Southeastern US, Atlanta is getting it's fair share of rain this Spring. With all this rain brings nice green grass, plus a chance to get the yard looking spiffy between the raindrops. The backyard is next, but until we get around to that project, I thought I'd leave you with some pretty shots of my handiwork.

Spring also means a chance to get out and visit family. Last weekend we were on Singer Island, in W. Palm Beach, when I spotted these unique fishing lockers at Sailfish Marina. Each strip of lockers has a different set of pastel doors. At first I thought these were fancy out houses:)
