The Sugar Diva caught my eye when I saw her blog post about some new paper straw designs they would be launching soon. Paper straws??? You mean there are other options besides red, blue, green and gray stripes? Say it isn't so!! If you follow my blog you know I have a fascination with retro paper straws and gushed upon them here.


Well guess what? The FIRST EVER "Polka Dot Paper Straws".....designed and created by The Sugar Diva herself Dianne Wood, are NOW available for pre-order by clicking here. Friday, October 29th is when the paper straw gods deliver these little angels to The Sugar Diva's door and mid December they will be adding even MORE designs and colors which will include Red Hearts and Blue Stars plus many more. I just can't wait to get my hands on these!! I'm completely honored and grateful to be the first blog promoting this upcoming launch!

Now that Summer is just around the corner, I've been getting tons of requests for both my Ice Cream and Popsicle designs over at InkSpot Workshop.com. Not to mention my own little guy's daily request to have ice cream, which in his mind is the only daily food group!

I just love the look of old fashioned paper stripey straws, gives any get together a nostalgic look and feel. Also makes me wish I lived back in the days when the old fashioned dime store soda fountain was the town's gathering spot. Boy was I ever born late?

As a kid in the '70's I remember hot Summer evenings and making our own ice cream sodas with 7-Up and any flavor ice cream we had in the house. Who could resist all that foamy goodness?
