HELP!

This is what all my hard yard work has come to......CRITTER DAMAGE!! Is this what your newly potted planters are looking like? Then, the criminals leave their evidence behind! They must be nuts:) Every day I have to replant my poor little snapdragons. Is there such a thing as an electric squirrel fence? Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated, not that I don't love squirrels with their cute chipperness, however they make poor gardeners.

Then I turn around to look over the deck and here's what I see!!! All my poor cabbages have been uprooted, some are even missing, like bad hair plugs on a bald man. Guess this one was left behind when the vermin realized they just aren't that tasty without Pick-a-Peppa sauce.

The squirrels received the blame for this prank as well, but imagine my surprise when I witnessed with my own eyeballs my dog SAMMY, pulling them out of the ground and devouring them? Did anyone know dogs ATE cabbage? Why are we spending all this money on organic dog food? Isn't she getting enough roughage? Should I start to supplement with Metamucil? She is a senior you know.

Now for some good news...

In a past iCANDY feature, I introduced you to Joom, a talented Etsy artist who's prints I recently purchased. Well, my new frames finally arrived after being on order forever from West Elm. Aren't they just perfect? I am so thrilled with how these new additions look in my dining room. Thanks JOOM!!

i CANDY - 12th Edition

Directions: For best results, click on collage

I'm sooooo hungry right now and putting together this iCANDY feature about food is making me weak. Now I wish I HAD put those cookies into my cart yesterday!! So much for being calorie conscious:(

When you think of Etsy, food is not the first thing that comes to mind. Gaining much popularity on Etsy, you really need to check out all the different sellers of edible items. I'd like to introduce you to three such sellers who seem to have a grasp on what it takes to not only make interesting gastronomic treats, but take nice pictures too. I personally have not tried any of their items, but {hearted} them and plan on feasting - SOON

First up, Sweets On Sticks. Can you believe this "Sandwich Cookie Line?" Those McNuggets, look McTasty. Now that is talent. Next is Whimsy and Spice. I want to jump on those marshmallows. The packaging for this line of baked goods is a 10! Well done. Last, but not least I wanted to include Purpose Design. What a great array of spices and loose teas, plus you can choose your own variety and store it all in a handy magnetic storage solution.

Enjoy!

So Flattered!

A few weeks ago Michelle, from Lemiga Events, here in Atlanta, contacted me about doing a feature in her blog. I was so completely floored and most flattered that anyone would take that kind of interest in little old me.
Michelle is quite talented as her amazing portfolio displays. She organizes weddings and events and from what the pictures and stories tell, no detail is too small. I really love her blog {not just because I'm featured today} because I just love to see all the pictures of how people with "real" social lives entertain and celebrate. Just after 12:00 pm today, go to her blog because she will be offering a super special giveaway, compliments of yours truly.
Thanks Michelle!

Not For The Calorie Conscious

How cute is this new idea? They are called Mad Nibbles, new from Sweet Talk Boutique. I just love them!! You fill in the blanks with an edible ink marker {included} and send it off to your friend. There are many colors to choose from and they will arrive safely, not broken. What else could you want in a tasty note? Well how about this? They include a matching, pre-printed postcard that your friend can fill in and mail back to you.

Sweet Talk Boutique also makes edible invitations, announcements, favors and greeting cards too. Perhaps I should put my printer away and break out the old rolling pin? I would just love to know how exactly they do this?

Talent does not stop in the kitchen, they have a great blog too, check it out Design Is Everywhere.
